2015 MLB Postseason Predictions: World Series
The 2015 World Series is set as the New York Mets represent the National League and the Kansas City Royals enter the series as the American League Champions. It is set to be a good series with two clubs that are playing great ball right now. And whether you are pulling for the Royals or the Mets, you are sure to enjoy what I expect to be a long series.
The Royals finished their campaign to return to the World Series by defeating the Blue Jays in Game 6 of the League Championship Series. Toronto showed toughness against Kansas City, but the Royals just continued to find offense when they needed it most. They took advantage of Toronto’s pitching struggles and earned their spot in the “Fall Classic.”
The Mets demolished the Chicago Cubs in a sweep of their series and looked unbeatable in doing so. New York’s pitching staff shutdown the Cubs hitters and dictated the series. And their offense came alive with an amazing performance by Daniel Murphy.
I expect this to be a great series filled with some stellar baseball. I always felt like the Royals were destined to return to the World Series after getting there last year but falling short. But now, I am going to predict that the upstart Mets will eventually win the championship. Their pitching is young, but dominate and should control this series like they did all this postseason. And their offense will get enough to give these pitchers a lead and finish the job. As unpredictable a team as ever, the New York Mets will come from obscurity and win the 2015 World Series.
